Adding a file for translation

 1. Click the "Choose a file" button on the New order page in Nitro.

 2. Select "Upload from your computer" and add a file you want to translate.

 3. In the pop-up window that appears, you'll see a list of nodes and attributes where text for translation was found. Uncheck the boxes next to the nodes and attributes that don't need to be translated. Click "Apply".

Sample file

<Nitro_menu xml:lang='en'>

This is a <annotation font='title_emphasis'>new</annotation> order

page.

<number>1</number>

</menu>

<menu name='Orders'>

This is a page with tables of all orders.

<number>2</number>

</menu>

<string-array

name='Balance'>

Current balance

Payments

</string-array>

</Nitro_menu>

Elements for translation

All of the text found in the file's nodes and attributes that were selected in the list of elements for translation will be translated.

The translator doesn't see the code, file structure, or tags in the editor. The only formatting tags they'll see are: , <annotation>, , , <bdi>, <bdo>, ,
, , ,
, <data>, <del>, <dfn>, , , <ins>, <kbd>, , , <s>, <samp>, , , <strike>, , , , , , , , <var>, and ).

This is done so that the translator can transfer the formatting in the translated text to the correct places and that you receive the translated file with the same formatting as in the source.

Comments from the .xml file are not sent for translation, but they will be visible to the translator to help them understand the context. Comments should be placed before the corresponding string and written as: .

Validation

You can only upload a valid .xml file for translation.The file won't be validated in the following cases:

 1. There is a start tag but no end tag (or vice versa).

 2. The start and end tags have different entities.

 3. The attribute name is not quoted.

 4. There is a duplicate attribute within one element.

Receiving your finished translation

Once the translation is complete, you'll receive the file back with the same formatting. We will send you an e-mail notification with a link to the file with the translation.

The file also will be accessible in your Nitro account:

 1. Open Nitro.

 2. Go to the Orders page.

 3. The completed order with the translation will be the first item in the Completed table.
